What Constitutes Wrongful Death?
In the state of Missouri, a wrongful death claim can be filed when a loved one’s death was directly caused by the actions or negligence of another person or group. Death can occur through any number of factors such as medical malpractice, consumer product defect, auto or motorcycle accident, and slip and fall. The claim can be filed against an individual or a company, such as a retailer or public agency.
In St. Louis, the following individuals are able to file a wrongful death claim on behalf of the deceased:

- Legally-appointed representatives

Three Year Statute of Limitations
